The choice for our own flock is the Buff Orpington. We envision our chickens as part of our everyday food source, garden aka farm-hand and family life. We love to watch the chicks and look forward to sharing with you our novice stories.

Buff Orpingtons are an English heritage breed, quite fat, and absolutely beautiful in golden-yellow plumage and bright red combs. A classic round barnyard beauty. Known to tolerate cold weather and lay lovely brown eggs.
AS for me, these are the sweetest chickens on earth.
